I have the best youth ministry job in the world. This video is an example of that. LUG is our Middle School Wednesday night meeting and it is awesome.

The other night I was standing there, watching what God was doing and thinking, “this should not happen. This many students worshipping God is just crazy!” But that is the awesome thing about God, he is not limited by what the world thinks is normal for middle and high school students. He is doing some incredible things here, and I think this video highlights it well:

30 Below was a pretty awesome retreat. Students had a great time and met with God in powerful ways. Even the leaders were ministered too and worshiped God like never before. Here is a recap video that celebrates the weekend:

Welcome to my blog. I am just a guy who likes being creative. My hope is that it will help you unleash your creative side and give you some ideas for your own projects. I am not the most genius creative person, and I did not even study an “art” while in college. Does that disqualify me from writing a blog about creativity? Maybe, but I like to think that all people have some creative juices flowing through them, even if they are extremely left brained. Consider this blog a Creative guide for people who have no formal training in the arts, but want to create something to make the world a better place.

So look around and feel free to ask any questions or give any suggestions at any time!

Here you will find 4 main types of posts. The first is just random “fun” where I post things that [I think] are funny. These will hopefully give you ideas for your own projects. Second is “Culture, Creativity, and God” where I talk about how we can be creative, the impact it has on culture, and how God can be involved. I also look at some of pop culture’s views about God. The next is called “I’m Learning” where I share some of the things God is teaching me. Finally we have videos, which, if you can imagine, includes a bunch of videos. Mostly ones that I have created for your entertainment, use, or to give you ideas for your own projects. There is also a Video Page, so you can see all of them in the same place and ignore all the boring text. I also created a Resource page that includes links to other helpful blogs and websites. Someday it may even include resources I create. Someday.

I am married to a really good looking woman named Morgan. She is such a fun and exciting person to be around and I love walking through life with her. Here is a picture of us together:

I work at Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville, GA. There I am in charge of all things creative for Student Ministries. I make videos, write scripts for dramas, write devotionals, and even speak a little bit. I love my job and love using creativity to make a difference in the world. If you are interested in any of these things I would love to hear from you and talk ideas.
